Trend Micro Revamps Entire Product Line With 'Titanium' (PC World) PC World - Following up Norton's new product launch early Wednesday, Trend Micro announced an overhaul of its entire home user product line on Wednesday, under the moniker "Titanium." The new products, Titanium Internet Security, Titanium Maximum Security, and Titanium Antivirus+, include new features that use cloud computing for malware detection. Study: 65 Percent of Adults Victimized by Cyber Crime (PC Magazine) PC Magazine - Symantec study shows cybercrime victims take emotional toll. 10 arrested in European raids on Internet piracy (AP) AP - Ten people have been arrested in raids across Europe against computer pirates who put illegal copies of movies and television series on the Internet, Belgian police said Wednesday. Study: Cybercrime hits two-thirds Internet users (Digital Trends) Digital Trends - A new study from Internet security giant Symantec shows cybercrime affects everyone everywhere, and US Internet users are particularly vulnerable. Almost three-quarters of US Internet users are cybercrime victims, and the US ranks third on the list of countries attacked the most. Google Proposes $8.5 Mln Buzz Lawsuit Settlement (Digital Trends) Digital Trends - Internet giant Google has proposed paying some $8.5 million to settle a lawsuit over privacy violations that occurred when it launched its Buzz social networking service earlier this year. Some 30 percent of the proposed settlement money would go towards legal fees associated with the case, $2,500 each would go to the seven Gmail users who brought the suit, and the remainder would be split amongst organizations that promote online privacy and privacy education. Google admits no wrongdoing in the settlement, which still must be approved by a judge. Facebook Glitch Let Spammer Post to Walls (PC World) PC World - A clever spammer found a glitch in Facebook's photo upload system and used it to post thousands of unwanted Wall messages this week.
